IMPORTANT: In order for the compass to work, there are a few things to consider when using it. Always keep the compass level so the north arrow and scale can rotate freely. Do not use the compass near metal (e.g. metal bridge railings) or magnetic objects (e.g. mobile phones). These things interfere with the correct reading because the north arrow is magnetic. Accordingly, the compass can only work reliably outdoors and not indoors.
