Assists with recovery. Up to 70% of muscle tissue is made up of glutamic acid. Replenishment of glutamine (also known as L-glutamine which is the absorbable form) can assist with the maintenance of lean muscle tissue thus replenishing glutamic acid. As an anti-catabolic agent (muscle sparing/preventing the breakdown of muscle tissue), it is also well regarded for its intestinal track function and assistance it provides with digestion and absorbability. Pure Glutamine is naturally extracted via rice, which means it is absorbed at a much higher rate than synthetically derived glutamine.

Specific studies conducted on the human respiratory system show that glutamine strengthens our respiratory system. As a powerful anti-oxidant, glutamine is often used to boost the immune system and may be particularly useful under stressful conditions.

Glutamine was originally researched as the amino acid form of glutamic acid. Glutamic acid is not capable of passing over the brain barrier therefore unable to fully assist brain function. Glutamine, however, has the ability to pass over the brain barrier for efficient absorption.

Servings per package
Inactive individuals: 2-4 grams per day upon rising.
Active individuals up to 75kg: Take 5 grams (1 teaspoon) per day. Over 75kg, take 10 grams per day. For enhanced results take 5 grams 30-45 minutes prior to training and immediately after training.
Pure Glutamine may be taken on its own with water, or mixed with protein.
