A Good Looking HYPER Hub that Requires Specific In

The combination of USB-C connectivity with 1GB Ethernet, plus 3 USB-A ports and 2 micro card ports, along with wireless charging of your phone makes this a very useful hub indeed. However, it is very important to understand that the included USB-C male to male cable must only be used to connect to your computer via the USB-C port on the SIDE of the hub. Do NOT connect to your computer via the USB-C port at the back. The port at the back, adjacent to the Ethernet port, is to connect to a peripheral wall charger (unfortunately not included - I'm using the charger that came with my laptop), which allows you to charge your phone MUCH faster. Without a wall charger connected all the ports will still work fine, but charging your phone will be very slow. Note: there's a light that comes on at the front when charging, either orange or blue depending on whether you have a wall charger connected or not (orange signifying 5W charging and blue signifying up to10W charging). The charging platform itself can be set to any angle from the horizontal, which is cool, but you must ensure that you push it back from the hinge point before attempting to raise it. I found valuable instructions prior to receiving my Hyperdrive at HYPER customer support's FAQ and it's a pity these instructions are not included in a manual, because once you know how to set it up correctly this hub is really excellent. Too soon to talk about long-term reliability, but the build quality seems solid, with no problems so far, and it's a good looking unit that has made the organisation of my desk top so much better than before, so thumbs up and five stars - I highly recommend it.
